One day I won’t have 2 separate nativity scenes set up on my oak dresser year round. But today I do because I have a precious & precocious 4 year old who loves playing with them.
One day I won’t have Captain Crunch Crunch Berries smithereens embedded in the grout of the ceramic tile in my kitchen. But today I do because I have 3 girls who love that cereal for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
One day I won’t have two Barbie campers & 2 Barbie convertibles full of half naked Barbies rolling over my hardwood floors & parked on my stained living room rug. But today I do because I have been blessed with two Barbie loving little girls.
One day I won’t have lipgloss smudges on my full length mirror in my bedroom. But today I do because my sweet daughters take turn stealing my lipgloss & applying it just right.
One day Paw Patrol & Doc McStuffins won’t play on an endless loop throughout the entire house. But today they do because sometimes cartoons equal survival.
One day I won’t have 3 ball bags in the trunk of my dirty van. But today I do because I have 2 tball playing preschoolers & 1 high school softball playing girl I get to cart around to practices & games.
One day my house will be quiet & clean, my car will be spotless & fresh & empty of car seats. But today is not that day.
And I am so thankful.
