Well that’s awkward

Remember I met a couple moms at tball practice?

I was hopeful for a budding friendship…

I hadn’t seen the most outgoing one again until today’s tball game.

I smiled, ready to gab like we did last time.

She introduced herself to me.

Again.

She didn’t remember meeting me.

Clearly I made an impression.

She recovered nicely & we had a nice chat.

I don’t blame her really.

It’s not a big deal.

But yet it did sting a bit.

Of course I was rehashing the interaction in my mind on the drive home & the song He knows My Name went though my head.

My favorite part goes like this:

He calls me chosen, free forgiven, wanted, child of the King
His forever, held in treasure
I am loved.

What a treasure! What a gift!

To be known by the God of the universe.

It’s not just that He knows our name, He adores us!

We will all be looked over, left out, unknown at some point.

Don’t be disheartened.

You are so very known & loved.
