I was having kind of a blah day. Nothing really wrong, nothing really right. Not awful, just wish I felt happier, more joyful.
I was walking into the grocery store and saw an older man loading his groceries into the trunk of his car. He had a motorized cart beside him that he had used to get his groceries.
I thought to myself I am thankful I have strong healthy legs to walk into this store.
I remembered hearing something recently about finding 3 good things you are grateful for every day to change your outlook. This was scientifically proven to help people be more positive, 1 month, 3 months & 6 months later.
I decided to give it a try.
Here’s what I am grateful for:
My health, my strong arms & legs that have held 3 babies & walked many steps soothing those same 3 fussy babies.
I’m grateful I can walk into the grocery store & afford to purchase food for my family.
My family. 3 beautiful girls & a hardworking husband.
A home to clean & take care of.
A faith that sustains me through good & bad times.
I am going to find 3 good things to be grateful for every day.
Please join me!
Side note-it didn’t take a week of naming things I am grateful for before I felt better. I felt better that same day.
In all things give thanks.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
